The Comfort Seeker's default is relief. Discomfort registers as an emergency, and he owns a well-stocked pharmacy for it: food, screens, spending, sleep, substances, company. Every dose works. Every dose bills the future.
Under pressure
Pressure shortens the distance between feeling and reaching. The worse the day, the stronger the case for the treat — “I earned it” becomes the pattern's legal department, and it has never lost a case.
The tell: his rewards arrive before his results do, and his comforts need comforts to recover from.
